3 Wheel Travel System: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

3 Wheel Travel System: The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly

A Three-Wheel Travel System Is Slimmer and Narrower Than Other Strollers

A three-wheel travel system is lighter and less narrow than other strollers, making it easy to maneuver through tight spaces. These systems often work well for city dwellers.

This deluxe travel system can expand with your family. The stroller easily converts to a toddler stroller, while the car seat snaps into a base meant for keeping in your vehicle.

Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat

The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can transform from a single to a double stroller with the addition of an additional seat or glider board (sold separately). The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is able to be set up to a triple travel system with the addition of an infant car seat. It comes with 24 options in all and is the highest-rated stroller. This model is made with Baby Jogger's soft durable, breathable and sustainably-sourced TENCEL fabrics. They aid in regulating the temperature. It includes a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar, and belly bar. It folds 20% smaller than the leading single-to-double stroller, UPPAbaby Vista V2, and is lighter, too.

It has a moderate-sized shade and a magnetic peek-aboo window, that is simple to close or open. The telescoping handlebar is one of the simplest to adjust and works well for parents of all heights. The seats recline, and there's an adjustment button for the footwell to help you place your child in the most comfortable position. The storage bin has plenty of space, however we would have liked an easier latch. It's easy to access, but we found the zippers to be somewhat frustrating as they have to be completely removed and refastened to each use.

The City Select, like its siblings, has single-action breaks that are simple to set up and release by pulling a lever on the frame side lower than the handlebar. It's barefoot and sandal-friendly and is a step up from the toe-pinch lever that a few of the competitors utilize.

This is the only stroller we've reviewed in our review that accepts two infant car seats which makes it a great option for twins or for parents with a single child and a baby coming soon. It can fit most infant car seats from major brands using an adapter. We tested it using Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models Cybex Aton and Aton Q, and Nuna Pipa.

The City Select is not compatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. The City Select is an excellent alternative for families who already have a car seat but want a stroller which can accommodate it. However, you may be better served with another convertible stroller for this scenario.
